Extinguishant - Novec 1230 - dodecafluror-2-methylpentan-3-one,
{CF3CF2C(0)CF(CF3)2}
Working pressure: 12 bar @ 20°C
* Base on a nominal 6% design concentration |
Discharge tine: 10 seconds
(nominal)
Cyl Test Pressure: 26 bar. |
Important: Maximum volume protected relates to Nett
volume, and this MUST NOT be
exceeded. Do Not use more that ONE
MP-2-0000 Automatic Fire Extinguisher in the volume to be protected.
If you were to use two or more smaller capacity extinguishers for
the same volume, there is no guarantee that all would operate at the
same time, and as a result may not give the required extinguishant
concentration level to extinguish the fire.
Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid,
dodecafluoro-2-methylpentan-3-one, {CF3CF2C(0)CF(CF3)2}, is a clear,
colourless and low odour fluid designed as replacements for ozone
depleting substances (ODSs) and compounds with high global warming
potentials (GWPs) such as HFCs and PFS. Novec 1230 fluid is an
effective fire extinguishing agent in standard fire scenarios where
halons historically have been used and where halon alternatives are
now being used.
Application: Nett Volume = Gross Volume less large permanently
fixed structures, namely engine blocks, fuel tanks and water tanks.
All other equipment should be classified as being part of the Gross
Volume. |
